VS,
Did they show the girls (not ladies) final in Thailand as well? A 14 year old English girl, Laura Robson against a Thai girl, Noppawan Lertcheewakarn. The English girl won 2 - 1, but it was a very good game, played at a high standard.
Anyone for tennis?

No, BB, they didn't. Coverage here is retricted to the big boys and girls.
What a men's final! That was the best match I've ever seen, sadly one of them had to lose. I stayed up until it started to rain in the final set (when they were 2 - 2). I desperately wanted to see the end, but common sense prevailed and I had to go to bed. I was selfishly hoping that the rain would continue, so that they'd be playing today...
Mind you, the delayed start fitted in nicely so we could watch the F1 GP.

I have to say that common sense did not prevail with me, the excitment of that match did (hence I'm the walking dead at work today!)
What a game! It was fantastic, right down to the last point. Nadal just kept on going and Federer kept pulling it out of a hat...
If you get the chance to watch a reply - do it. One of Wimbledon's best finals in history and most certainly the longest!

To add to the British girl winning a title, did I see Jeremy Bates got into the final of one of the Senior Citizens contests or was I dreaming?
Aah, no I wasn't

He needed help from Sweden though.
There's two great questions for a trivia quiz in a couple of years time.

Well whilst none of you know me, I would be delighted to play a bit of tennis in HUA HIN. Sadly my standard is restricted by my largeish frame.
As for the Mens final, I was there on the Sunday, fantastic, best match it has ever been my privilege to watch.
ATMOSPHERE was immense, gut wrenching drama. How people can justify women being paid the same is an amazement. This is in regards to tennis only, before anyone kicks off.
But if there is a reasonable healthy expat or local tennis playing community, then Hua Hin will be very high on my retirement list.

murray
just watched murray finish off nadal in the us open semi final
i've been one of his critics for his seemingly lack of backbone, but credit where it's due, he was awesome yesterday & tonight
lets hope he plays like that tomorrow, should be a great final
