be carefull late at night

Post by pussycat »

Just a word of warning to anyone coming home from town late at night, iwas coming home from bintabaht on thursday at about 1 30am with my girlfriend ,we stopped at the 7 11 on the klong road on the way home.We then drove up to kow noi and turned left over the bridge and then suddenly a motobike with 3 thai boys on roared alongside and drove us into the wall and obviously we came off. They then stole my girlfriends handbag and i think would have had my wallet if someone had not come along on a motobike as i was flat out in the road. I think i am probably very lucky to get away with some very painfull bruised ribs and a few cuts Ihave lived in hua hin for nearly 3 yrs and have never had a problem before but am wondering if this is going to be commonplace here with the very low season we are having.Anyway be carefull and lookout for a blue motobike with 199 in the reg thanks PUSSYCAT.

Sorry to hear about this pussycat. Did you report it to the police? A partial registration number will be a great help in tracking them down and prevent this happening to someone else. Hope your girlfriend didn't lose too much of value and that both of you recover from your injuries quickly.

Sorry to hear that p-cat.

Isn't this the same area that another farang got attacked down, see link:
http://www.huahinafterdark.com/forum/po ... lway#86120

There's loads of Thai bars, discos, karaoke places down there and loads of wasted young Thais. The solitary farang with a Thai lass is gonna be a target for the very small amount of Thai thugs you get.
Definately an area not to walk around, people should opt for tuk tuk or motorbike taxis etc.

This type of crime is not only targeted at farngs.I know a lot of Thai girls returning or even walking on a busy street and this happening.

Looks like it is a case of walking lightly and carrying a big stick!
Sad that these incidents occur and focus on vulnerable people. I suggest that when caught that they be sent Sth for corrective actions.
