Just a thought here in Australia service stations hire out lawn mowers for people to cut their grass. Do they do it in LOS, may be a business idea for someone who wants a regular cash income. They are hired by the hour. A decent lawn mower will cost you about 8000baht to buy. I pay about 350 baht an hour to rent it and only use every 8 weeks

I know that people say not to compare home to LOS but at present to get a normal sized front/back lawn cut in Australia is $35-40 every 4 weeks (1300baht), so from the size you say for 500baht sounds cheap to what they charge here when fuel is the same price in LOS as it is here in Aus

I wouldn't say it is excessive, and if he does a good job (tidies up, gets rid of the grass cuttings etc) and is reliable and trustworthy then I wouldn't worry. Having said that I paid a bit less (about 3 - 400 baht) than that for about the same area of grass, but with trees, bushes and plants trimmed as well in my last rented house, but he was a relative of the landlady who arranged it.

My garden was 25 x 5 meters with a few shrubs. I paid 400bht. The main problem is reliability as stated before. Find a good one (which may take time) and stick with them.
