Sara Janes

Post by Big Boy »

After reading many good reports on HHAD, we decided to give Sara Janes a try yesterday evening. Its a place we've walked past dozens of times - unfortunately, if the waiting staff are stood outside trying to drum up business, I'll normally walk straight past without giving the place a second glance.

When we arrived there were just 2 others in the restaurant - they were gone within 5 minutes.

We decided to ignore Richard's advice, and went in even though there was no sign of a Farang boss.

I had a steak, which was nicely cooked just the way I had asked for - how it compares with the best in Hua Hin I can't say because as far as I can remember it was the first time I had ever ordered a steak here.

I was really impressed at the Thai/Issan menu. I've never seen my wife so pleased with a menu here in Hua Hin. She ordered and ate twice as much as she normally would - then complained for the rest of the evening because she was so stuffed.

It was also children friendly for the granddaughters - high chairs and a sweet menu.

Price was very reasonable.

All in all an enjoyable experience - one that we will repeat before we go home.

Actually, as the man in the know, I was hoping that you'd introduce us to Buffalo Bills one evening next week or the week after. Let me know.

Already have plans for tonight, and I'm not really a lunch person

Are you going one evening next week (excluding Wednesday), or the following week?

We'll say Thursday 22nd at 1900hrs. I think that I can say with a fair degree of confidence that I'll be the biggest boy there.

I'll have my wife and eldest granddaughter in tow.

as I've said before and am happy to say again, on the times we've been to Sara Jane's we've found it to be really good, and with tip top service. Great larbs, as they say.
