I'll be back for some more next season and am gonna change my tactics - ie try not to lose my banker so many times!!!
that will be my philosophy too!! :?

mid table finish at my first attempt seems fairly respectable :D
congrats to ban thai on winning
& also the league as a whole, 33rd out of approx 1200 is a pretty good result too

Congratulations BaanThaiProperty. No prices involved that I know of but ETERNAL GLORY AND FAME are yours now!

It was great fun playing and checking my performance every Monday morning. Although the latter was not always that funny. Try to do better than this year's 13th position next season. I go along with lomu's strategy trying not to lose my banker all the time whilst trying to get the 3x bonus on Portsmouth home wins etc. Stupid.
We are all living in 'the good old days' of the future.

 I'm waiting for BaanThaiProperty to thank Wanderlust for his mid-term encouragement

As for me next season - I'll try to predict a couple of correct results
Championship Plymouth Argyle 1 - 2 Leeds Utd

Points 46; Position 23 RELEGATED

CONGRATULATIONS BaanThaiProperty!!! :thumb:

You were always there or there-abouts during a closely fought season - and a great run at the end!! (Don't suppose you're an ex jockey??!!)

As Roel said it's great fun - apart from checking the results and especially seeing your Banker has once again destroyed your week!! :cuss:

My 1st week produced a MINUS 40 result so a pathetic and poor start!!

Clawed back to 'top' the league table for one glorious week which I printed out - that was the kiss of death!! It was all downhill after that!!! :(

Finally finished in 5th position - not too shabby - but gotta try harder next season!

Just a thought..... Maybe a modest 'entry fee' next year and prizes for 1st - 2nd - 3rd -- or whatever format.

Something along the lines of the Fantasy Premier Team League which is run by Mike (Whittering) at HH Golf - or do you think it would be too difficult to administer? I.E. Collecting the entry fees & distributing the prize money?

As mentioned - just a thought .......

Good Luck to all participants next year!!!!

Well done indeed Baan Thai Property, and can I claim the prize for shooting myself publicly in the foot? Then again, if I had said nothing what would have happened? You might not all have had so much fun!

Heeboi,

Which game were you watching???????

Sure Hibs missed chances and some great saves from the "Holy Goalie," but we battered you in the first half and maybe 6-3 in Celtic's favour would have been more reflective of the game.

Tam,

I was on the lash mate - we've given you some good games in recent years when we should've got more out the match, but not on Sunday. Mixu's got them playing the right way but the conveyor belt of talented youngsters might not be as strong as it was....we'll see next season.

Anyway, means nothing after the news about Tommy Burns. He was a great coach and a nice guy. We met him and his wife on a family holiday to Portugal in 1982. He was a lovely guy and gave my brother and I a few whippings at pool - remember watching the Scotland-Russia game with him and he was as gutted as any other supporter. Real genuine bloke.

RIP.

Heebio,

Many thanks for your kind words about Tommy Burns.

Tommy was a year younger than me and I was also brought up for some of my life in the Calton. I have only seen real, kind words about Tommy. Ask any Celtic fan what was the best football we have played since Jock Stein and everyone will say under Tommy Burns - he was desperately unlucky for 1 reason: Andy Goram.

My brother is a Hibee and he was at the game with us on Saturday (he even came to Seville with us wearing his Hibs top!).

I know we have stolen some of your players over recent years (as have Rangers) and I thought you did play an open game in Saturday and you could easily have had 3 goals

If I was a betting man I'f be betting Tony Mowbray as the next Celtic manager. My mate is a season ticket with the Baggies and he says he has had them playing some great football.

Anyway, good to hear from you - maybe catch you for a beer next time I'm in Hua Hin.
Hail! Hail!
