I don't think it's geared to those of us who live here, now, though (I believe there will be another publication coming out geared to us.) I have heard that it is aimed more at tourists & holidaymakers, now.

Hi there Y'All
Well that's funny that they want a hundred Baht for the observermag right now. I can remember when the guy from Observer Pop's up around noon @ Stamford Campus and drops off a stash of Mags in the Library and dissapeares.
They will see a significant drop of asales Numbers so eventually they have to paddle back and set the price @ around 65 to 75 Bahts. a Mag. I haven't got the Observer in halt a year is it any good?

100 Baht - they're having a laugh, they make loads on their ad rates already
get a copy, count the pages of ads, multiply by 12,000 Baht a page
they are not the top publication in town any more for property, furniture, pools and the like
it'll be free again soon if we dont buy it and a few advertisers pull out

As Sandman pointed out above you can read all the articles on-line anyway but whether that will stay the same I don’t know. When I’m in Hua Hin I normally read it because I find it in front of me in a bar somewhere, but I don’t know if I would make the effort to go and find somewhere to buy it.
I know it’s not the fault of the magazine, but I get annoyed by all those computer generated images on property adverts that show houses in an aspect that bears no relationship to the housing estate that you would actually end up on, the ones with all the verdant forest surrounding every house like they were in the middle of Kew Gardens.

i saw that house, look well nice, sweeping driveway, turning circle with horse fountain in the middlebut I get annoyed by all those computer generated images on property adverts that show houses in an aspect that bears no relationship to the housing estate that you would actually end up on, the ones with all the verdant forest surrounding every house like they were in the middle of Kew Gardens
bit confused with the ad as said it was on 236m2 of land
but i'll buy it anyway as the developer promised me everything will be ok
he said i can trust him and do not need a solicitor, saved meself 15k baht there
done ......... i was

Well I bought a copy on my recent trip, at the Dolphin Bay resort to be precise, it was their last copy, so I guess there had been other takers?
The property ads have all but disapeared, including those that would face action under the trade description acts in other places. It reminds me of when I first looked at a copy before the explosion.
The problem, as ever, is the random nature of the articles that are not on Hua Hin, some of which are interesting to individuals, but not to others and not really what most are looking for when in town, IMHO. I guess thats an expat v tourist thing and hints at why a 2nd journal is planned, as the current version seems a bit confused about its identity and who its target audience is?
But I sympathise - especially in respect of what potential property buyers want? Less crap spiel and more real information (which seems hard to the average punter), including where the places/developments can be found - maps are generally terrible, websites are what count in this day and age and there are now other publications that produce some of this data.
As it stands, when visiting, I will be happy to buy a copy, notwithstanding the fact a lot is available on the web, but I look forward to seeing their new piece.
