Birthday cake candles

All this talk about breakfasts, pate etc somehow made me think 'cakes'
So here's more food for thought - how is it that the Thais - bless 'em - always start to light the cake candles from the OUTside?

I don't know margaret but the Thais love birthday cakes. Last year I had to restrain my friends wife when she was trying to get over forty candles on a very small cake from 7/11. Had me worried about my carbon foot print.

Best get her a bigger cake next year then Steve!
