I personally think there is a problem with the program if you try to upload direct from your own PC.
My Avatar disappeared 2 days ago when my old ISP cut me off (I've switched to a new provider - so it was expected). I tried to upload direct from my PC - received the message too large. I cut the size gradually to 50%, and on each attempt was told too large.
I then hosted my original Avatar independently on the Internet (full size), and hey presto, it worked.
I'm sure Buksida will have a much better explanation than a program fault though
Thanks to you both for your prompt replies... Sandman, how do I p.m. a photo to you. (Sorry to sound like a thick northern monkey) I already reduced the pixels to 80x80 as advised by the instructions... Cheers in advance
What a sad Avatar - I thought it was bad being a Plymouth Argyle supporter - never mind, somebody has to support them
Now that I've seen what you want, I've searched the Internet and found a clearer image. If you put http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2137/226 ... 45d3_m.jpg
into the Link to off-site Avatar:
Enter the URL of the location containing the Avatar image you wish to link to.
box and upload, it should work fine.
However, if you get back a message saying its too large, let me know and I'll resize it for you.
Hi Big boy... Thanks for the info but nothing is happening trying the route you have suggested. I checked the avatar on your proposed site and it's actually 82x82 which is larger than the one I sent you (80x80) Any further help is appreciated, cheers Pete...
