Where to buy furniture, bedding, kitchen utensils, etc??

My husband and I are moving to Hua Hin in September after purchasing a house in March. Can anyone tell me where to get all the gear required to furnish/set up a house?

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Furniture

Post by Diana Hind »

Hi,

Depends what kind of furniture?

We have just purchased all new furniture for our new home ranging from wicker furniture to modern dark wood furniture including beds, wicker furniture place is just outside Cha- am on the right - he has a few items outside, his place makes everything from sofa's / beds / wardrobes / lamps etc.

Another good shop we thought was Winner just before you get to Hua Hin big red sign outside, they do modern furniture.

Vertical blinds or any kind of blinds and curtains from a little place opposite the PTT petrol station nect to Springbeach resort Hotel turning.

Fitted European kitchen from Koncept in Cha-am.

Hope this bit of info helps and good look.

Hi,

Ordered from a small thai company just before cha-am, over 30 windows - total cost was just over a thousand pound ( sterling) which we thought was very cheap compared to the prices in the uk.

I just got some custom made furniture from Wither & family. They will make whatever you want to your specs to a very high standard and more importantly will not give you the Thai "I,ve got my money, Bye Bye". but will help you if you encounter any difficulties. Good price as well. PM me for details.

A good shop to go to for furniture is on the left hand side going toward Tha-yang lights on petchkasim road as if you were going to big.c .The price is good and any after sales problems taken care of , ( shop is after Honda and before traffic light ). Also take a look at Tha-yang high street can get most thing with out being ripped of and they would welcome your custom.

Down Chomsin Rd from Petkhasem - over the railway line - first right towards PalaU. Not far down on the left is an open fronted shack looking place stuffed with Thai furniture. Just before it - also on the left - is another big 'shack' where you can get towels, bedding and all sorts of other domestic bits.

That's Big Kiang's new outlet. They've had two others in town for years.
