Hotel swimming pools for non- resident use

So what is going on around here and where does it happen? This section is for discussion on local events, festivals, and holidays as well as activities and things to do.

Hotel swimming pools for non- resident use

Post by magobligin »

Does anyone have a list of hotel swimming pools in HH that can be used by non-residents? Also the charges if you have them.

I did a search on the forum but cannot find any detailed info on this subject.

Appreciate your help on this matter.

swimming pools

The prices may be out dated but these are the ones I am aware of:

Sport Villa - 50 baht
Palm Hills - 50 baht
Hilton - 200 baht
Marriott - 100 baht

I'm sure there are more ...

Most hotels will let non guests swim in their pools, which charges ranging from 50 to 100 baht in general. Some don't charge anything (or at least they never used to) but like it if you at least have something to eat and/or drink.

Alternatively, use the beach..............it's a million times better.

beach is better but with all them jellyfish around last week, it might be safer to use the pool in the hotels, ps when I contacted Hilton central information, they suggested 500 baht for a day ticket using the pool and gym etc if required

Why is it called 'after dark' when it really is 'after light'?

Yes, and to be honest, I would rather pay 500 baht to swim there than pay 500 baht at the Hilton. I know the Hilton is central, but there are many others. Perhaps the Hilton doesn't use plain water in their pool like everyone else.

Don't try the Hilton if you have a Thai wife or Girlfriend, you won’t get passed security if you enter from the beach side.
Well that was our experience when wanting to view the accomodation for our next stay in HH

Or you could brass it out like my daughter. She and her friend just walked into the Hilton lobby like they owned it and headed for the pool. They enjoyed numerous visits even bringing towels home (they returned them the next day).

Johnnyk : I think you may have the Sport Villa prices the wrong way round. It's 80 Baht per day to use the gym or around 1,000 Baht per month for membership. I didn't ask about the pool, this was last week.
