Yes yes it's probably gonna end in tears again...but our Emma Raducanu played two excellent 6-3 6-3 games to set up a 3rd round meeting with World #1 Sabalenka on center court scheduled for 16:50. (About 11pm for you lot over there ).
Much as I'd like to see a different outcome, I don't hold out too much hope for Raducanu here. She's playing better than she has for a couple of years, but I don't think she's at Sabalenka's level.

Agreed. But... her last matches were the best she's played for quite some time, as you mentioned. Never know
I don't trust children. They're here to replace us.

I'm sorry, I got the forever changing schedule wrong. Favourite Alcaraz is on now though. Hopefully a three set demolition
Hopefully.
Well it’s not going according to plan - Alcaraz won the first set 6-1 but then Struff won the second 6-3 and so far it’s 2-0 to Alcaraz in the third set and looking comfortable again - difficult to predict!!

Well it was a lot closer than I had expected and with a bit more nerve (or luck or better play) she could have won. Did herself proud so maybe this will inspire her to better things?
