Not sure whether to post here or a new topic, oh well here.

Memorial day ended in the states, a holiday to honor those that served. In keeping with that every year I watch Taking Chance with Kevin Bacon 2009 (not a fan of him but excellent here). It's a accurate portrayal of escorting a dead soldier home.

Very moving.

I downloaded a few years back so don't remember where.

Has anybody else watched Sinners yet? Movie of the year, my arse. I would normally have scrapped that crap after 10 minutes, but thought with such a high rating, it had to get better - it didn't. It turned out not to be horror, but a low rate musical. Absolutely no scares, and the music was a grenre obviously not to my liking. I even asked my son if we were watching the right movie. Even the vampire scenes were more like a bar room brawl.

My conclusion was it had been given such a high rating because of the skin colour of most of the actors.

For me, the biggest disappointment of the year.

Agree, not my style of movie and was pretty lame IMO.

Wolf Man (2025). Enjoyable little creature-feature this one, I was pleasantly surprised. Directed by Leigh Whannell (The Invisible Man, Upgrade) it's nothing intelligent... does what it says on the tin. Nice and gory in bits. :D

Mountainhead (2025). Satire/Comedy drama. Watched it because I like Steve Carell. An interesting take on AI deepfakes causing world chaos and the (humourously exaggerated) power those in control of tech have. But essentially it's just 4 guys in a house talking for the duration. If you can stomach 1hr 48 minutes of that you might like it. Thought it was ok, meself. A directorial debut from Jesse Armstrong (creator of the series 'Succession'.).

It Feeds (2025). This one's a belter, loved it! There's no blood, guts 'n gore— it's a straight up, malevolent entity, jump-scare creepfest. :D

If you enjoyed the Insidious or Conjuring movies, you'll definitely enjoy this one.

I enjoyed it but I think you really need to like and understand tech bro and finance bro jokes and speak. The naked yet still deflected testosterone and the mostly subliminal competition oozed through the screen at times, and the scenes where three of them plot (and do more) against the fourth are very funny (I wont spoil).
