3 Word Prompt, One Paragraph AI Short Stories

Post by Lost »

Just a bit of fun.

The three words I chose were 'Thai woman, banana, Chang beer'. The genre I chose was horror (of course).

In the humid dusk of a rural Thai village, 16-year-old Sasi sat alone on her porch, peeling a banana with trembling hands, the sweet fruit’s scent mingling with the stale Chang beer bottle she’d swiped from her father’s stash. The jungle hummed with cicadas, but an unnatural silence fell as the banana’s flesh revealed a writhing, black centipede inside, its legs twitching like a curse. Sasi froze, heart pounding, as the air grew heavy with a sour, metallic stench; the beer bottle hissed, foam spilling over, forming words in the dirt: “You shouldn’t have looked.” From the shadows, a low giggle echoed—not human, not animal—growing louder as the centipede slithered toward her, and the jungle swallowed her scream.

:D

If you're not using AI and don't intend to, give us the three words and a genre and I'll whack it in myself.

Dtaii Maii (English), Pharvey (Welsh), Eurovision. Romance.

At the dazzling Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm, Dtaii Maii, a charismatic English pop sensation, caught the eye of Pharvey, a soulful Welsh lyricist penning Wales’ debut entry, during a frenzied rehearsal. Amid cascading lights and infectious rhythms, their shared passion for music ignited a spark, their playful debates over melodies evolving into tender moments backstage. As the grand finale lit up the arena, Dtaii Maii poured his heart into a soaring love song dedicated to Pharvey, their voices harmonizing in a kiss beneath the spotlight, the crowd erupting in applause for their newfound romance as much as the performance.

In the humid haze of Hua Hin’s night market, Dannie Boy, a retired linguist with a penchant for pedantic precision, scrutinized the handwritten sign above a noodle stall—“Authentic Phad Thai, 50 Baht”—noting with a frown the misspelling of “Pad” and the inconsistent font size. His obsession with linguistic accuracy led him to question the vendor, a wiry man with shifty eyes, about the sign’s origins, only to uncover a cryptic clue: the stall’s ledger, hidden beneath a pile of lemongrass, contained coded entries hinting at a smuggling ring operating through the market’s chaos. Dannie’s pedantic nature, usually a quirk that annoyed his companions, became his sharpest tool as he meticulously decoded the ledger’s abbreviations, unraveling a mystery that the local police had overlooked, all while correcting the vendor’s grammar under his breath.

Big Boy, Ratchaburi, Football... (Sorry lads I love this stuff 🤣)

Bathed in the warm glow of Ratchaburi Stadium’s floodlights, Big Boy, a towering expatriate with a heart as wide as his frame, stood shoulder-to-shoulder with newfound friends among the roaring Ratchaburi FC fans, his deep laugh mingling with their cheers as the team clinched a thrilling last-minute goal. The vibrant energy of Thailand’s spirited crowd and the shared joy of the victory wrapped around him like a warm embrace, reminding him that here, in this moment, he’d found a home—not just with Ratchaburi FC, but in the unbreakable bond of community forged through the beautiful game.

When everything gets good enough, including Elon's and China's near production line robots, no human will need to work anymore (Elon's words). No human will want for anything (again Elon). In the wrong hands though... catastrophe.

We're many years away from that though (Humans not working) won't be my lifetime. Give it 50-100 years I reckon.

And they say AI isn't feckin' dangerous...... Neither my neighbours or those within "Messaging Range" would consider me "a soulful Welsh lyricist".... As for the lack of DM's purchasing habits on eBay, it simply goes to prove AI's "Info Mining" is a load of b*ll*cks

Believe me, any "Tender moments backstage" are due to age and diet....

Picking "lost" as a moniker may just benefit you on this one - though I'm sure we on the Forum could get some phrases (if not paragraphs) together... :D

In the decaying husk of a Martian outpost, Lost, a gaunt figure with eyes like shattered holograms, a mind fractured by cosmic radiation, led his fervent devotee, Elon Musk, through corridors choked with crimson dust. The air recyclers hummed erratically, their impaired filters spewing a metallic tang that clung to their throats. Lost's own impaired senses—eyes clouded, ears ringing with phantom pulses—led them deeper into the labyrinthine ruins, seeking the fabled Neural Core. An eerie keening echoed from the shadows—a synthetic wail that seemed to know their names. Elon's faith in Lost wavered as the walls pulsed with an unnatural glow, whispering of a presence that had long since consumed the colony’s soul.

It knows who you are people. Be afraid be very afraid...

"Give me a short one paragraph mystery including some members from Huahinforum as the characters".

In the humid glow of Hua Hin’s night market, where the aroma of grilled squid tangled with the salty sea air, forum poster Dannie Boy weaved through the vibrant stalls, his curiosity piqued by a cryptic post from buksida on huahinforum.com about a spectral figure haunting the alley near the old Chatchai Market. hhinner, ever the skeptic, had dismissed it as a local legend exaggerated by tourists, while 404cameljockey hinted at a connection to the abandoned villa near Khao Takiab. Determined to unravel the mystery, Dannie Boy followed a faint, flickering light to a deserted vendor cart, where a lone lantern swung above a cracked mirror, reflecting not his face but that of a woman in ancient Siamese attire. As he reached out, a chilling whisper from the shadows— “Seek the truth at Monkey Mountain”—sent a shiver down his spine, leaving him to question whether Hua Hin’s ghosts were real or if a fellow forum member was spinning an elaborate prank.

^ Interestingly, the first result gave forum members that are long gone elsewhere (baabaa, sandman etc) so I asked it to only use forum members that are still active. Clever!
