As far as the UK is concerned at least, it's the way to go (over full electric) for at least the foreseeable, but Labour will feck that up as well....
I was trying to get an idea of the spec (out of interest), but got some conflicting results.
They’re fairly well equipped both from safety and creature comforts and performance is pretty good if you want it, even in EV mode only, there’s plenty of torque for quick (safe) overtaking - I don’t enjoy being on the outside of a double trailer lorry for any longer than I have to be. For anyone whose main journey’s are around town, a PHEV is a very economical car - I very rarely put petrol in it.
