I think I've said this at least three times in this thread: these types of articles should be ignored. They're clickbait stuffed with affiliate links where the website gets a commission when someone clicks them or orders a product. Its just spam.
I think we've established by the responses that Nord is superior to Express now.

Yes, it was very unusual, but Express didn't even seem interested that I was not renewing my subscription.
I've had my first begging letter from Express this morning, pleading with me to come back. I'd have thought they should have been asking why I'd left in the first place (not that they could rectify my problems i.e. very average service, regular buffering/lock-outs and expensive). They have simply said there will be improvements in the next 12 months.
Sorry Express, those improvements should have happened over the last 12 months, and I'd have probably stayed.
Been using Nord for a few days now and happy to concur with the others that it is much better than Express. There is no lag or latency when connecting and it seems to have more servers available. It doesn't seem to throttle the speeds either (though 3BB is far from perfect to overseas servers). Haven't tried streaming iPlayer yet though, that will be the litmus test!
The clincher was the price, way less than half what Express was charging to existing subscribers. I ended up getting 30 months for $89 bucks ... a bargain.

I'm currently having a look at different VPNs and I see that Nord have 3 different levels, Ultimate, Plus and Basic. Is there any particular level that folk would recommend please?
Thank you, very much appreciated. I was thinking that that may be the case re the Basic as I would only be using it for the t'interweb to think that I was back in UK!
