I've just come across an article about this thing which has got to be one of the weirdest scooters ever built.
It was a modified Vespa used by French paratroopers in the 1950s to transport a recoiless rifle antitank weapon:

I don't think I'd argue with that baby if it was coming up the wrong side of Soi 94 to avoid the surface of the Moon's potholes.

I hope they got the weight distribution sorted as they were always very light at the front and easy to lift the front wheel when giving full throttle!!

I saw this (rusting) baby parked up in the Chanthaboon Water Community this morning. It looked a bit special. I know nothing about motorcycles - was it?

I think it's a very early Yamaha from the 1950s, maybe a 125 YA-1 which was the very first motorbike they made.

I would like something like that to restore, not to road condition but as a decorative item for my terrace.

There isn't a BMW dealership in HH as far as I know but Siam Handlebar can service big bikes. They're competent, but not cheap!
