I said:
Yup, you can start with day one if you wish, won't spoil anything

Day One is OK but inferior. and definitely watch them in order.
I binge watched all the three again yesterday and, if not too late, definitely watch them in order as cameljockey says. I said, 'it won't spoil anything' if you start with 'Day One'. I'm wrong CJ is correct. :D

Just watched 'The Crow' remake which landed on yts today. I was horrified they'd consider doing a remake considering how iconic the first one is. The lead actor, Brandon Lee (Bruce Lee's son) died on set by accidental gunfire in the original. But I really like Bill Skarsgård so thought I'd give it a try.

No. Just horrible. As a remake or a standalone movie, it's awful, don't bother.

Warning: Borderlands is one of the worst films I've seen in a long time. Good for teens I guess. I watched 40 minutes because I was enjoying the Cyberpunk stuff and futuristic chase and action scenes, but once the plot exposition got going I got going too. I'm sure there's a lot more action later in the film too but my brain finally rebelled.

Cate Blanchett and Jamie Lee Curtis. PG-13.

Agreed. I gave it a whirl as I assumed most the bad reviews were just about it not doing the game justice, I've never played the game.

But, nah. Pretty sure about 40 minutes was where I got to, too.

It's one of those fairly rare occasions when after looking at the reviews, I simply wouldn't bother. I usually prefer to trust my own judgement.

Maybe not for everyone but I really enjoyed this heartwarming "based on a true story" movie. Off to the opticians now because whilst watching my eyes started leaking water

My Penguin Friend
2024
PG
1h 37m

Inspired by a true story; an enchanting adventure about a lost penguin rescued from an oil spill, who transforms the life of a heartbroken fisherman. They soon become unlikely friends, so bonded that even the vast ocean cannot divide them. imdb

I just watched Ghostlight, a beautiful lump-in-the-throat film (with a happy ending).

A couple of the brief Shakespeare soliloquies gave me a chill, and at the end there wasn't a dry eye in the house (well, it's only me here)..

Kill - I don't think I've ever seen so much gore and graphic knife violence in a single film. Hand to and fighting on a train.

I think maybe one for Dannie Boy.
