T&Ms is our current 'go-to' place for breakfast/brunch. Very clean, air-conditioned, not expensive and the owner is a great cook. She makes some unbelievable birthday cakes, etc.

Having “scraps” on the top was the giveaway - I’m sure that would have been the husband’s suggestion!!

Still, it looks good so I’m sure anyone craving F&C’s should give it a try.

For me, the winner was the real chips - less common than rocking horse droppings in Hua Hin. A couple did disappear from my son's plate

I agree it's very good indeed, probably on a par with Orayas in town but you don't get a free beer there! (nor anywhere else for that matter!)

Also don't tend to get the crispy bits on top of fish at Orayas if thats your particular fancy!

My only small issue at TM was the mushy peas were stone cold, think she forgot to bob them in the microwave. Just being honest and accurate as ever which I know some people object to.

I don't like the mushy peas either i.e. they are crushed garden peas, which my son confirmed today - several places serve the crushed garden peas as an alternative. I've never had a problem with food being cold there, but easy to forget, as you say.

Please tell me more about Orayas - I've never heard of that one.

Actually, now that you've mentioned it again, I probably read it at the time and discounted it in my mind. Because of parking difficulties, that isn't a part of town I frequent very often any more. However, I see it has been in existence since at least 2016, so maybe a special trip in to town one evening. Thank you.

Looking further at Orayas, I see they advertise real chips as well, so definitely on my must visit list. Thai food looks good as well.

555, the beer isn't free !

I got takeaway a few weeks back, I think the F & C on it's own is 199 Baht.

The downside for me is at dinnertime they close at 5 pm, I think last orders 4.45 pm, they could do to add another hour.

Why do people here make such a fuss about mushy peas? Would any of you eat it from a tin and warmed up in a microwave at home? I do accept it when it comes with the dish, but half the time I forget to eat it

I’ve never eaten mushy peas even once and if I got them served with a plate of F&C’s would simply leave them on the side.

Cooked properly, mushy peas has always been one of my favourites. Essential (for me) with Fish & Chips. Pork Pie or a Roast Dinner. I guess its how we're brought dragged up

That's a semi-lie actually - take-away Fish & Chips eaten from paper or a box, I never bother.

When I was growing up and for pretty much all my time in London, mushy peas weren't even an option. It was a Northern thing (& Devon ). When it did start appearing, it was generally pre cooked or whatever and seved in little polystyrene type cups heated in a m/w at the chip shop. It was garbage. It was only when I was based in Sheffield where the local chippy was excellent, and I saw a big home made pot of mushy peas bubbling away on a stove, that I really enjoyed them, but in Hua Hin, served lukewarm from a tin? I could happily pass.
