Golf Driving Range ?

Does Hau Hin have a driving range around, any where close?

Yes two.
One attached to HH Golf course, the other over the railway line at the start of the canal road - Pae Mai.

It's Royal Hua Hin Golf Course.
Take a look at the HH map - link above here. When you see the railway station, the golf course is marked next to it.

There is also a range at Pai mae, just over the railway line, one at Suan sun beach (around 8km south) this one is usually very quiet. One more down at Pranburi.

There is also a 24-hour golf range (which also has a gym & a small pool) located just north of Soi 10 on Petchakasem Road. I have not tried it myself but I know they seel beer, so how bad can it be!

Looks like they have built a new range out on the Pala U falls road, maybe about 3-4 klicks out, on the left.

I tried that place a few weeks ago. It's quite nice, as it is never busy & pretty quiet. A little more expensive (relatively speaking) but it does have a roof (which some ranges don't) & the guy in the office does speak some English. No good if you want to rent a club but worth a try.

Mongkol Driving range is the new one just out of town on the Pala U road, balls are much better than Pai Mai they have a restaurant and bar. The teaching pro there is a former Asian tour winner and an excellent teacher, i use him - he has a tough job with me!
