The fee one pays to the bar for removing a worker from a collective revenue earning position to a personal horizontal revenue earning position. Is that PC or what....LOL.JerseyGirl wrote:What exactly is a 'bar fine'??

Not all bars rip you off
I have one favourite drinking hole that I have visited for several years. Not going to say where though because I get drinks given to me for free by the owner!barrys wrote:I must add that most of my experiences have been positive and the one posted above was an exception.
Still, it's good to know where the few 'bad apples' are!
I am reminded of a story in the British press way back in the seventies when an Arab gentleman bought an ice-cream, handed over a £20 note and was given five pence change.
I guess the moral is that if you look like a soft-touch in ant country you will be ripped off.
