Villa Grocery Stores

Post by Hobiecat »

I recently stumbled on a great chain of grocery stores while in BKK that has every possible sauce and condiment that an expate needs to get that back home feeling. Much better than Lotus Tesco. My buddy and his wife where recently at the Sapan Quay location talking with the store manager and he mentioned that the grocery chain has recently bought land in HH and are planning on building a new location. Does anyone know when and where that might be.

From what I'm told the chain has locations in Pattaya and Puket not to mention the eleven locations in BKK to cater to the farang. The manager mentioned they build a new store every year and HH is on the list. So we all might have some pleasent western grocery shopping in the near future if that is true. The selection and cuts of meat they have are beautiful. Most things are a little on the expensive side but they have everything you could want.

Hallo Yáll

Hmm I might be very interested in buying a Condo or 2 @ this new Condo Mall near San Paolo Hospital.

I personally like Villa Supermarket too but too few choice of german stuff. But They have a lot of Japanaes stuff which balances the lack of german stuff out. can't wait...

Maybe JD can get hold of it, if there's enough demand? I would buy some.

The Central off-licence is already open & has been for a little while now. Corner of Soi 55/1

Just FYI for travelers over here, Villa Supermarket has now opened in Pattaya as of Sept. 28. Between 2nd Road and Soi Bukao, more or less directly across from Royal Garden/Pattayaland Soi 1. Poor Foodland will now feel the pinch, as will my expanding waistline. Pete

While in Bangkok last month we stopped by the Villa market (by the skytrain exit) and saw that there was a good supply of western food, and good quality meats, etc.

Also noticed prices were equal to the states here.

Imagine the HH Villa the same, expensive, but at least offers good stuff.
