Pae Mai transport/parking
Pae Mai transport/parking
Coming from South Cha-Am (Baba Beach Club area). I have a car. Would it be better to take a grab to/from the Tuesday night market or drive there? If driving, is there a safe place to park nearby? Don't mind walking up to 10 minutes and would like to avoid massive traffic.
Re: Pae Mai transport/parking
If you are travelling any day but a Tuesday, the huge market site becomes a massive car park - plenty of free parking.
If travelling on a Tuesday, simply park along the Klong Road. You may have a short walk back to Pae Mai, but it will certainly be within your 10 minute walking window. I've parked there many times - never an issue.

Re: Pae Mai transport/parking
I'm interested because I've often driven past the Pae Mai Tuesday market and noticed how busy it seems to be, but I've never stopped to look around.
Is there anything in particular that you can get there, that you can't find elsewhere, or that is significantly cheaper, for example?

I haven't been since the start of Covid, but there was a huge variety of things on sale - some very unusual, but can't say you wouldn't find somewhere else. It was always a 'Thai' market, and a lot of stuff at Thai prices i.e. without the usual Hua Hin add-ons. Definitely worth a look if you haven't been before.
