If it is a browser add-on, it will only work for that browser. If it is a dedicated VPN app, it will secure and anonymize all traffic to and from the computer.

The VPN discussion is here: viewtopic.php?t=21434

According to a thread on an other site the problem has been resolved. Maybe.

Teabone wrote:Thanks for checking - No, my subs are good until August. I just looked again and it still will not connect, I also just tried the home page ( https://hdpri.me/ ) and got a 'This content has been suspended' notice. I am pleased to hear yours is okay - hope it continues and mine is returned.
Also, the link quoted in the post works fine.

I was watching HDprime last without a problem but getting Connection Failed message today. If HDprime has gone what is the best alternative for watching UK tv, sport, etc ?

I would suggest a VPN for most UK TV stuff.

Doo https://dooball66s.com/ would cover most of your sporting requirements free (and as good as HD Prime).

Personally, I have a TrueID account, which is free, but I buy my sport packages via TrueID, which are not expensive, and give perfect reception.

I currently use Express VPN, but will be switching to Nord very soon because it costs a fraction of the price, and reports say it gives an equal service. Many members use it.

The VPN lets you tell the network that your computer is located in the UK as opposed to Thailand.

I currently use my VPN to access BBC, ITV, Pluto, SBS (Australian), UKTV, Sky (News), Channel 4 and Channel 5.

Thanks again Big Boy - presumably you get access to free-view channels but what about UK Sky Sports for example?

All of that is accessible free of charge through Doo, but I prefer to buy my extra via True ID.

HD Prime alternatives?

Post by Teabone »

Hi again all,

Having solved my issues with HD Prime earlier this year, I am hoping the wise and all-knowing forum members can come riding to the rescue again!

On Saturday my annual subscription ran out, I was surprised as I thought it had a few weeks to go, but I have been known to get these little details wrong before!

So I emailed the people at HD Prime and asked for current details, and account numbers etc. to get the process up again. I have been with them for 8 years and this has never taken more than 30 minutes to do - not this time! I have since sent another 2 emails and not heard anything from them. I can access the website and still see what is on offer in the TV, Movies and Series sections, but every time I try to run anything a message tells me my subscription doesn't cover it.

So ... 1) can anyone offer any advice regarding this?, and 2) can anyone offer the names of alternatives which offer a similar service?

For all it's faults, TV Prime did offer a good service for slightly less than 6,000 baht a year - all the news and sport, films and series I could possibly want - but it seems that this particular horse has now bolted.

Thanks in advance for any help you can put forward. Cheers.

Don't use HD Prime or any TV subscriptions, but IPTV seems to work for many: viewtopic.php?t=41486

True has the monopoly on paid TV in Thailand, but it ain't cheap.

Edit: there are some free alternatives for streaming movies and series also: viewtopic.php?t=40992

Edit2: a VPN is a much better way to access content from your own country and much cheaper than a TV subscription package. More on those here: viewtopic.php?t=21434&start=420

Thanks for the info and the links Buksida.
I don't have a 'box', just get the service via the internet, and then use a HDMI cable from my PC to my TV. I already have a VPN (Brave) which I am quite happy with. So, I think what I am looking for is a IPTV paid service (extravagant I know - but peace of mind and familiarity have become more important as the years tick by!). I just haven't got a clue as to what other service providers offer, or how to find them.
Thanks again :-)

You can now pay by QR code for HDPrime. Click Account then buy points and one of the 3 options is QR code.
