Not if you backed them to win in the predictor game, as they should have done. At times, it seemed too easy. Ten Hag must be praying for a small fortune to be spent on new players (from where?) as his efforts and recruiting so far, are unimpressive.

The premier league declared to a parliamentary committee yesterday, that a date has been set for their hearing, but they cant declare the date yet! In fairness, they are too completely different matters, with City being the far more serious, over a period of 9 years, including the charge of failing to co-operate with the premier leagues investigation. I hope the revelations, when they come, justify the length of the investigation.

Tottenham look set to be number one in stadium revenue for the prem. 3rd in the football world. This isn't including the hundreds of millions from it being multipurpose: boxing, Beyonce, NFL, Guns 'n Roses etc. Daniel Levy - the guy's a thrifty twat. A decade+ of meagre signing spend and low salaries (in comparison to the rest of the 'Big 6') but a big spend on infrastructure...is suddenly looking like a master play with ffp coming to fruition.

Well, that's come as a bit of a shock. Even if I'm not a huge follower of football, I do try to keep up with the news especially where Liverpool are concerned. Klopp certainly seems to be well liked and respected by "The Board", players and fans alike and has clearly been very successful at the club. I'm sure many clubs will now be after him, but no doubt he's financially secure so doubtful he needs the work!! At 56 though, he'll be bored "shirtless" in no time - I know I am without work..... Is the German National side be something he's looking at in the future perhaps? They were certainly after him previously.....

It came as quite a shock. Alonso might be a shoe-in, or the Brighton manager. Klopp is a forceful personality, whoever takes over will find it a big ask to be as successful.

I imagine the players knew since November time also. There's been hints of Sala moving on for a couple of years, but Liverpool can and will survive without him. I honestly think the loss of Klopp is harder to deal with and several players may look at other options when contracts are coming to an end - would be interesting to know how many of the squad are coming to an end of their contracts...

Klopp is an outstanding manager and it'll be a difficult transition for Liverpool. Xavi also leaving at the end of the season so that's two huge manager positions open. Apparently Ange was a childhood Liverpool fan, hopefully there's no temptation there. Pretty sure there won't be.

Prem back tomorrow with 5 evening games. Liverpool/Chelsea the fixture of the week on Wednesday, though that particular fixture serves up 0-0 bore draws more often than not. Spurs almost back to full strength regarding injuries, just waiting for those playing internationals to return now.
