Hua Hin Suites

Post by prawnini »

I have booked the Hua Hin Suites for our impending vacation, we have been to HH on numerous occasions and have always stayed at Dolphin Bay.
Does anyone have any comments on the said suites?

I'd recommend it OK

I've stayed there twice, once with a young baby. The rooms are nice, clean & quiet. The pool is truly tiny & too shady to be much use, but the staff are friendly & as helpful as their limited English allows. It's not far from the beach, especially if you take a short-cut through the Sofitel, which is what we always did! The rooms have cable (not satellite) TV, which means that truly awful 'Fox News' :cuss: , but apart from that, I would gladly recommend it as an inexpensive place to stay.
Please note they have no restaurant, which means you can shop around for a breakfast place.
Hope that helps.

Thanks troopie, I know the short cut well.
Hmmmmm Fox news, well you can't have everything! :guns:
Good luck on your move in July.

Enjoy -- not Fox, of course!

You're welcome!
Believe it or not, I used to watch German TV news (in English), anything rather than Fox!
Thanks for the good wishes about the move -- which is driving me batty right now!
When's your vacation? (Answer via a PM or email if you prefer)

Troopie,

Is Papa John's restaurant not regarded as Hua Hin Suites own place? I know it's independently owned but I think they advertise it as linked to them.

And you're spot on about Fox - I'd rather pay a little more for a hotel with UBC than have to suffer that facist nonsense.

Maybe so

You could be right, Papa John's might have some sort of informal deal with them. However, I stayed there over Xmas & was NOT obliged to have a extra fee Xmas dinner, unlike every other major hotel in Thailand! Also, the HH Suites does not include Breakfast in any of their deals -- which can be nice, as it lets you shop around & try some off-the-beaten-track places!

Hotel okay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Suite Rooms airy and spacious and well cleaned, but just in need of some TLC. Bathroom a bit tatty and towells were very poor - well used, thin and frayed. Hardly what you would expect and really should be replaced. And buy your own loo rolls if you re not happy using airport style supply and standard - I did!!! Swimming pool, though smallish, was good and not often used. Probably could be cleaned a bit more. But I enjoyed my stay and the good outweighed the not so good. Booking easy - I had to make final payment from 0z. V. easy with tracking number.

The rooms here are very nice & comfortable, they have kingsize beds & a separate living room to relax in. The staff are very friendly & helpful. We were very disapointed with the pool because there are no sunbeds, just plastic chairs to sit on & the view from the pool is not attractive. Brilliant! Fast & efficient booking service.

No problems. Very happy. Room was large and clean. Location is good, close to the beach and town centre, but did not notice any noise. Staff very helpfull. English spoken. Internet available. Nice restaurant below room. Would use Hau Hin Suites again if I return to Hau Hin. As usual excellent service. Always use Sawadee.com and have yet to experience a problem.

Hotel near beach(abt 5mins walk),town (abt 3mins walk), train station(abt 10 mins walk) and Southern Bus station(abt 10mins walk). Friendly and helpful hotel staffs. Suite was clean, neat and nicely decorated. Had some insect problems but hotel staffs were fast and efficient in rectifying the problem. Fast, efficient & user friendly

My family and I stayed at the Hua Hin Suites in March this year. All the comments made so far are spot on especially about the bathrooms and towels!! We were on a bed and breakfast deal with breakfast taken in Papa Johns.

HH Suites are very OK place with a really good location. You must feel OK with hard beds though. Stayed there one time and could'nt sleep because of central air.con machinery beeing pretty noisy (out of order, I think and so they said the next morning) combined with this to hard madress.
Enjoy your stay.
