Glastonbury - 2023

Post by pharvey »

Good God.... Who in God's name would want to be there (lost? )

£375 a ticket, can't move to sh*t or P*ss in the crowd (so what do you do?) and if you could, dire facilities.... Drugs, theft, extortionate prices for dire food/drink - oh come on, what's not to like?!!

I've seen some great concerts in the past years, but hell no - Glastonbury would not be on my wish-list!! Quite happy to be able to watch on BBC and change the channel if need be - a short walk to the fridge for a cider, light the bbq in the garden and relax...

I saw Texas when they played at a city concert in Luxembourg about ten years ago. I'd forgotten about them but it was entertaining and brought back memories of the eighties.

Actually quite good value for money considering how many different bands you can get to see….. Elton John would probably cost half that just for him

Been watching Glasto 2024, great weather and would love to go just once in my lifetime ... and I think I've fallen in love with Dua Lipa.

Oh, Dua Lipa - Talented, well spoken and hell..... I'll go no further, on fear of an unwanted operation performed by the LHG!

It's been great weather, great bands, but can't say I'll ever change my mind on wanting to attend. I'm still of the view to watch on TV, cold cider in the fridge and BBQ just outside - all at a pretty decent price and quality!!

[EDIT] And before you say/type/post anything "lost"..... YES!! :neener:

There's been some great performances, Cold Play - who I'm not a massive fan of, but were superb as was the guest appearance of Michael J Fox. Shania Twain will be playing in Chepstow next Friday - literally 5 min up the road from me.

Watching Shania Twain at the moment - can’t profess to being an avid fan of her music, but she’s a very fit 58 year old!!
