Travel agents for flights
We are looking for a reliable and honest travel agent to book a trip.
I know of many horror stories whereby agents have taken money and travelers arrive at tue airport to find that there bookings have either been cancelled or not booked.
Any reliable recommendations for an office here in HH?
Thanks.

I've always booked directly from the airline website, and never had an issue with bookings or tickets.

Thaiways site is a nightmare….after I search my destination i tells me to contact them via phone. Trying to arrange a multi-city via phone seems like hard work over the phone.buksida wrote:I've always booked directly from the airline website, and never had an issue with bookings or tickets.
I’ll keep trying their site but I’m 2 days in a getting the same message.

Where are you wanting to travel, or do you not want to disclose?

Ok, wouldn't go near THAI with a bargepole ... but there you go.

Unless its a tricky booking, meaning all sorts of specialized accomm transfers etc you should would have no trouble, booking direct with the airline
if you are new to this , then avoid 3rd party booking sites.
what country / city are you planning to visit
if its local travel, Dannie Boy could probably lend you his canoe.

I have used Bo at Travel Deals Hua Hin. She has a shop in Soi Salawat which is the street next to and parallel with Soi 80.
Turn at Whitehouse Bar(closed) and she is next to the noodle factory. Good english, highly recommended.

The Ark de Triumph.
Re: Travel agents for flights
Try installing the 'skyscanner' app.....very good.
I wouldn't go near Thai either.....heard bad reports from a few people.

Travel agent!! - must admit I was surprised to hear someone was looking for a local travel agent in the online world. (Skyscanner for flights, and Agoda for hotels are my go-to sites at the moment.)
On reflection, it's a very sensible question, and who is to say that for their 10% they don't de-stress the whole process and come up with better options.
I'd love to hear how you get on with your travel agent.

Thank for all the replies.
Amazingly Thai are the only carrier to offer a direct flight to my destination. Skyscanner couldn’t throw up any other options. Seems that to avoid a 2+ hour connection Thai is the only way and whilst I’d much prefer another airline tue direct flight at a cheaper rate than a layover puts it at the top.
I’ll keep trying their booking page, may even call the number the error throws up.
Cheers.

I have also used trip.com and mytrip.com in the past. Most of the time they have cheaper prices than the airlines.

It must be a fairly unique location if Thai are the only carriers that fly direct?Henry 14th wrote: ↑Thu Oct 13, 2022 6:09 pm Thank for all the replies.

We’re looking at going to Sapporo in Feb then heading to Osaka/Kyoto before flying back.Dannie Boy wrote:It must be a fairly unique location if Thai are the only carriers that fly direct?Henry 14th wrote: ↑Thu Oct 13, 2022 6:09 pm Thank for all the replies.

AirAsia X and Thai fly direct from BKK, the Japanese airlines require a stop over in Tokyo which id rather avoid.
Still searching for flights using cheap internal flights. It’s tricky trying to time them all without too much wasted time in airports.
AirAsia X seems to be a decent option as we can fly out of Osaka back to BKK, but not sure my back can handle a 7 hour flight on a cramped AirAsia seat.
