Soi 94 Beach area..... I got a rather unexpected fairly heavy downpour at about 14.45 for around 25 mins

Then it completely cleared within 10 minutes, sun out again

Any measurements taken by our resident meteorologists?

Sounds like you're talking about the month of May....

I meant that downpour yesterday afternoon

Anyways, not to worry

ThaiMet reporting that we had 284mm of rain in Hua Hin in the month of May.

The monthly average for May is 111mm according to Weather and Climate website(nb other sites data may differ)

So on that basis we had 156% more rain than we should expect. Pretty wet!

The average monthly rainfall for June in Hua Hin is 81mm(same source)

Thankfully it's been hot and dry for a few days. I have quite a large lawn. Because of the rain it had grown above knee height. It's taken 3 days to strim it and mow it. Just finished today so I don't mind if it rains now.

Yes, very little rain fell in the last week of May

If I recall most of it came in week 2

Sat on my front porch at the moment. There's one hell of a light show/storm to the North of the city. If that comes here it'll be fierce.

I think it's watering Dannie Boy's garden at the moment while he's away
