Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand

My great umbrella failed me today. Like most others, we got heavy rain and some very loud thunder. And, no I haven't washed the car or watered the garden so not down to me this time.

Almost stopped now.

Its about bloody time - Accuweather has been forecasting rain and thunderstroms for the last week, and nothing - last night it was rain in Hua Hin from 9pm until 6am today and worse in the morning. So at 12.30 the heavens - I say no more!!!!

On the whole they are more accurate bit long range they're all guessing

3.4 zillion must have been in my car port judging by the amount of discarded wings

Fyi ThaiMet reporting 21mm in Hua Hin up to 07.00 today

I was half asleep then but it seemed to be raining heavily around 07.00 to 08.00 so some of that maybe in tomorrow's data

Very frustrating for us golfers, as whilst the afternoon was dry the courses would be sopping wet.

Plus its forecast to rain heavily through the night, so again even if no rain tomorrow afternoon then probably not worth the costs incurred to play in such wet conditions under foot.

Ah well, netflix it is then!

ThaiMet only recorded 28mm (24hrs to 07.00 today) at Soi 51/53.

Seems low to me!

I'm expecting that figure to be quite a bit higher this time tomorrow

Absolutely tipping it down here (Soi 106) at the moment.

Google weather predicting thunderstorms for the next 10 days.

There's even a Guardian article about the unusually cool weather here in Thailand.

Had a couple of massive thunderclaps right overhead - they were so close you could actually smell the ozone.
