At the moment :D  - I might even persuade the LHG to join just to stuff you up (that said, could be disastrous for my position  ).

Mazespin gone. He was a liability to other drivers F1 anyways :tosser:
Nikita Mazepin: Haas end driver's contract & partnership with Russian chemicals company

Russian driver Nikita Mazepin has been sacked by the Haas team as a result of his country's invasion of Ukraine.

The US-based outfit have also terminated the contract of their title sponsor, the Russian chemicals company Uralkali.

Uralkali is part-owned by Mazepin's billionaire father Dmitry, a close associate of Russian President Vladimir Putin, through his company Uralchem.

Haas said news on Mazepin's replacement was expected early next week.

^ Well, it was always on the cards wasn't it. Once Daddy's money had gone there wasn't much holding him there - certainly not his driving skills or personality!

Horner accuses mercedes of using bullying tactics to remove Masi. Masi incorrectly made ruling he had to go not for the first time. Handbags at dawn now.

Other than Red Bullpoo I don't think there was much support for him from the other team managers given his inconsistency throughout the last couple of seasons.

It's a joke quite frankly - Homer and Red BS as a whole talk through their collective rear ends. It was RB's own Wheatley who put paid to Masi with his comments (well, instructions) over the Safety Car and how to proceed with the final lap.

Personally, I'm happy he's gone and the changes that have been made. A "Mute Button" should also be provided for Homer, Crashappen and Co.

As an aside, still waiting for you to join the league PeteC - come on!

I just hope that the changes made will make Formula 1 a sport again where the best man wins. Decisions that make a race more exciting for the crowd or TV audience have NO PLACE in sport. If people want Formula 1 to be just entertainment as professional wrestling is then admit that and change it to a show so that real sport fans can ignore it.

No, sorry Pharvey. Really no interest in it at present. The other part is that I'm really tired of arranging my schedule day and night around practice and qualifying timing in order to make picks as intelligently as possible. If you don't calculate in the 3rd practice you don't have much hope of making good picks. Lucky, yes, maybe, but not educated picks if that's even possible.

I'll continue to read about it and post up meaningful news on the thread.

Understood Pete, though sad to see you leave - I'll attempt to continue the league in the way you have done over the years :thumb: Some hints on the websites you have used in the past could be helpful though - I've tended to use BBC and PlanetF1.

I've only used the BBC for schedules, qualifying, results, standings....everything. Never found a need to go elsewhere.

Well, what a shocker - Homer and Red BS questioning Mercedes' design innovations

The report states that Mercedes have been in contact with the FIA throughout the design process, so it would be a surprise to see them penalised at this stage.

HOWEVER, it also states: -

"Brawn emphasised that, under F1's new governance procedure this year, rules can be changed mid-season if eight of the 10 teams agree."

So basically, if the vast majority of teams feel they have lost ground to another team's innovation(s) they can change the rules....... Hmmmm.
