I wasn't mocking. I was following up on reports that more than 3 jabs wouldn't make any difference but, like flu shots, they will be pushed every year.

You can't really compare flu and flu vaccines with CoVid-19 and its vaccines though. Influenza viruses mutate so rapidly (and there are so many of them) that every year you're being vaccinated against what are basically brand new viruses, for which brand new vaccines are developed every year, within about a 6-month time period. (Which incidentally, rather puts the lie to the claims that vaccines "always take 10 years minimum" to develop).

The flu vaccines also contain the antigens for three or four distinct strains of flu - the ones that virologists have predicted will be the most prevalent in the upcoming season. Sometimes though, the scientists miss their guess and so the vaccines are not very effective because they're aimed at strains which are not actually in very wide circulation.

Whereas with CoVid-19 we're still talking (mainly) about boosters of the same vaccines that we've been using since the start. (Some manufacturers are working on new, Omicron-specific vaccines but we don't know if they'll ever be used, partly because by the time they're ready, a new variant may have already superseded Omicron).

if they wont do a walk in for you, register for a booster
it took 4 days from registering to getting the shot

I think the booster after 2 x Pfizer is also Pfizer and currently must be at least 6 months ago (according to chart on HHH FB page). You need proof of first vaccines, passport, and possibly proof of address in Hua Hin.

Note that the chart mentioned above has the 3rd Pfizer shot (after first 2 Pfizer shots) starting in April. That will be because first two shots being Pfizer only started late last year.

It's worth going in anyway and they may at least help you register.

Anyone know if there are any special precautions / regulations for those who have two injections with Pfizer, but then have had omicron and recovered again and after the time interval between the injections are ready for the third injection in March / April?

I can't find the source now, but I seem to recall seeing something to the effect that you should wait at least 15 days after recovering from Covid, before getting a vaccination. Other than that, just that the normal delay between a second and third Pfizer shot here is six months.

I have a Thai friend who had no vaccine, caught Delta, recovered and was told 3 months after recovery before he can receive any vaccine.

I haven't seen any authoritative medical source saying you need to wait that long after a bout of Covid, before getting vaccinated.

According to the info on the link below from Houston Methodist Medical Center:

If you have recently had a COVID-19 breakthrough infection and are 16+, it's recommended that you get your COVID booster once your symptoms have resolved and you've met the criteria to end isolation — and the recommended time has elapsed since your primary series of either Pfizer (5 months), Moderna (6 months) or J&J (2 months).

As mentioned above, the delay for a Pfizer booster here in Thailand is currently 6 months.

All I can say is that's what he said Siriraj hospital where he stayed for 2 weeks told him. No idea if advice varies depending upon hospital/doctor.
