Same here, wear as required to enter 7-11, Makro, Global House & Homepro. And I'll follow the locals lead, if all masked up, rare, then so be it. If not, and most lax, I'll do the same. Thankfully the latter applies.

You're arguing against your own post.

Unbelievable.
Don't think I ever stated they didn't have any effect in slowing the virus, as sick people should be wearing. Even better, stay home. That goes for any infectious disease. One good thing about the virus, it made people more aware of personal health care & hygiene.

Just stated they offer little protection to a healthy person trying to avoid the virus. Social distance & personal hygiene, and keeping immune system strong are so much more important. For me, the hassle & discomfort level of wearing vs risk of the virus ... I'm personally not concerned. Non issue IMHO.

Just choose not to.

You continue to have your head in the sand. Many covid cases are asymptomatic but can spread just as one with symptoms. Asymptomatic can also lead to low oxygen levels and death whilst showing no symptoms throughout.

I'm aware of that, but at that 99% recovery rate, I'm just not concerned.

30-year-old Texas man who organized anti-mask protest dies of COVID-19
At least 6 conservative radio hosts and anti-mask advocates have died from COVID-19
I quickly learned that many patients with advanced COVID-19 disease bore none of the hallmarks of severe respiratory illness until they suddenly collapsed and died.
Asymptomatic COVID: Silent, but Not Harmless
Asymptomatic coronavirus infections contribute to over 50% of spread
Even Asymptomatic People Carry the Coronavirus in High Amounts
Are you infected KhunLA? You can only know for sure immediately after a covid test. As stated earlier, the virus can remain in the air for 3 hours, long after the 'spreader' has moved on.

Still 99% recovery rate. I'm liking my odds, especially since I'm not around people. Most employees at vendors I've been visiting lately (mentioned) are masked up / face shielded, as long as I practice good hygiene, not concerned. I'm quite the hermit / recluse in comparison to most folks.

Far more things out there scarier. Worrying about is probably more harmful, causing stress which lowers your immune system ... 🤣 When it's your time, it's your time.

I hope your time does not come early, I had 2 colleagues who thought like you, one was half my age. Their excuse was they were fit and avoided people as much as possible. Unfortunately they failed, the caught covid and are no longer with us.
There are many cases like this if anybody does not wear a mask indoors or in crowded places, does not have the vaccine they are twunts.
Woke up this morning breathing that's a good start to the day.

I mean, depending on your physical health and age, there's possibly an extremely low chance you'll get sick from it. So I get your point. No point worrying about it. If I was old and had health conditions - damn right I'd worry about it. But I'm not. And I don't.

Mask wearing in London is at about 1-10% (I'm being extremely generous with the 10%) I'd say. Noone's really bothered about it here anymore.

I only wear a mask in shops now. Sometimes, if I must be in a group of people I may wear one simply as I'm not particularly fond of my face.

I think a couple of you need to work on your reading comprehension.

I DO wear mask indoors (at vendors), since can't enter without. Restaurants, well, silly, as you can take off as soon as you sit down, or feel comfortable. Only visit 1 anyway and it's open air, so not going to wear a mask to walk 10 meters to sit at one of the curbside tables. Especially when half the staff don't bother either.

I AVOID crowded places ... entirely. Rarely. if ever, is there a person within 5 meters of me, when I'm out & about with the dog. Park and surfside, many times I'm the only person within 50 meters. That would be the social distancing part of precautions. Common sense does rule occasionally.

Until they get a grip on this, years away, if ever, I'm not going near anyone I don't have to, whether they are masked or not.

Vaccine ... well, guess I'm a twunt, as that actually scares me more than C19. Another topic for another thread. Don't bother showing me surveys and test results, as frankly I don't trust any of them. All connected to the sellers of the snake oil, one way or another.

Like wise ... as I said ... " a couple of you "

Since I'm an anti-vaxxer (new ones), then yes, your colorful comment was directed at me.

So 2 birds with 1 stone kind of thing, since this had dragged on long enough ... 🤣

I'm still surprised when "adults" call each other names as if they were still in a schoolyard. Come on boys, lighten up.

You can disagree without the name-calling, finger-pointing, and Trumpist statements of adolescents.
