Osandpo wrote: Mon Jun 28, 2021 10:05 pm Hi! Does anyone have any info on controls / requirements for returning by car from Bangkok to PCK province, now that BKK has tightened up again. We need to go up to see a specialist and we plan to go and return in the same day. The PCK public health office Facebook page seems to say (in Thai) that we need to register in advance (a QR code) and then self isolate for 14 days at home. Is this still the current requirement?
Thanks!

Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Public Health Office

Travel measures of 10 provinces are highly controlled and strict.

- Scan the QR code to report yourself

- Quarantine at home or at accommodation for 14 days and strictly DMHTT (if traveling less than 14 days, quarantine at the time of arrival, do not leave the community)

- If found to be at risk or have symptoms, get medical attention Test for Covid-19 at the district hospital and quarantine while waiting for the results.

exempt No need to quarantine 1. Get vaccinated as follows:

- Two injections of Sinovac have been injected for the past 4 weeks.

- Injected 1 dose of AstraZeneca for 4 weeks.

2. Patients with COVID-19 cured within 90 days and must have a certificate of treatment to show.
They mention only AstraZeneca and SinoVac. Means others FDA validated vaccines are not in their scope.... including Janssen injected to French residents.

^^ It doesn't matter.
1. Vaccinated people can still bring the virus with them.

2. How will it be policed? How many hotels are going to lock their guests up? Others from BKK will have their own places or have relatives in HH.

None of it matters - the Bangkok hi-sos do what they want anyway and nobody even tries to question them, its an ingrained Thai class/face/hierarchy thing.

There is a mammoth 5-day long weekend nicely prepared for them next month, so expect Hua Hin to be inundated and new clusters to form.

Thanks! Yes, that’s what I saw but for some reason I couldn’t see a posting date so wasn’t sure if it was the latest one.
I assume the reference to QR code scanning is the normal Thai Chana scan - the QR code in the graphic goes nowhere so seems to be just an illustration

Too bad if you don't have a Google account and don't want one.

If I was going to drive to Bangkok one day next week to put a passport renewal application in does this mean I'm supposed to isolate for 2 weeks when I get back? And again in 4 weeks when I go to pick up the new passport?

This isn't the Embassies (no Thai Embassies in Thailand), this was from the Prachuab Health Authority.
