I’m not sure why I’m bothering to reply, but many western countries and the UK in particular, provided Furlough schemes in which people who weren’t able to work still got up to 80% of their salary, so enough for food and a lot more!!

My son has spent much of his time over the last year delivering food to the old and disabled. Of course it's free.

From above article ^

“We are facing a large outbreak similar to the situations in some other countries that have imposed lockdowns again. Disruptions to everyday life and transport have occurred in many countries, not only in Thailand.

"Some countries imposed harsh measures but in Thailand we have our own methods,” Dr Taweesilp said."

Please share with the world what "our own methods" are? Everyone is waiting with bated breath to hear this revelation and how it is better than what the rest of the world is doing/has done?

As of today, almost 5,000 applications for a Certificate of Entry of which 500 have been approved so far!
Phuket opens tomorrow!! I can't see any evidence of tourists arriving tomorrow. That's not happening soon and maybe not later.
What's the betting that numbers in their thousands or even tens of thousands are reported entering Phuket. And future pics/vids will still show a deserted Phuket when people will ask "Where did they go".

We'll see.
