I enjoyed the first couple of seasons a few years ago, but haven't got back into it yet. A timely reminder!
Haven't read the books.

Mare of Easttown

"A detective from Pennsylvania [Kate Winslet] tries her best to prevent her life from falling apart while investigating a mysterious murder."

Haven't started watching it yet, but the reviews are excellent.

Y'all need to wean yesself of this Sci Fi nonsense and get to grips with reality :neener: :naughty:  .

Mare of Easttown is very watchable as is City On A Hill with Kevin Baconbutty

The reason we watch sci-fi is to get away from reality - murders, politics, war, Covid ... :duck:

So I'm guessing, and this is a long shot here :naughty: , that yer Star WARS, Star Trek et al have no story lines involving murder, politics or war? :duck: :neener:

Yes, but a lot of cool thought-provoking science and CGI to go with it ... rather than a fat bloke traipsing around a Welsh field on a wet Wednesday morning looking for a dead girl ... but whatever floats your boat. :thumb:

Season 1 done and dusted. Wow! The best sci-fi TV I've seen by a country mile
Oh, Season 2 ending to come.... (Aside from the whole of season 2 being superb)!
Speechless...

And I thought Katee Sackhoff had the secret to eternal life!

May have to give this mandalorian a go after all. The plague of baby Yoda memes and incessant advertising over the past year or so didn't swing me but the reviews here have. :D

Mate, if you like Sci-Fi, it's an absolute cracker - I'm a proper Stars Wars & Star Treck fan from Day 1...... This is one of the best without doubt.

[EDIT] Helps if you've watched the originals (I.E. 70's & 80's) though....
