Re: Cheese in Hua Hin
I was after strong cheddar and I bought two packs that in total cost 389 Baht. Weight wise it was almost the same as a large pack of mature cheddar in Makro that was 259 Baht so in this case Makro was considerably cheaper

We have a thread already but it's 2012 vintage. We can now use this one for comments concerning personal likes and dislikes, where to buy, and anything else cheese related.

Re: The Cheese Thread 2021
My question is where to buy cheap cheese to coax our dogs into taking tablets. Yes, same question as last time, but the price of cheap cheese in Thailand has turned expensive.
Alternate coaxes work for a short time, but it always comes back to cheese.

I can usually find some old cheese* in the back of the fridge. Cut the mould off and I'm sure the dogs will still be happy...
(*At least, I think that's what it is!)

I have some excellent Roquefort in my fridge at the moment but I've got no idea what dogs think of it!

For a wide variety of inexpensive cheese... try AP Interfoods.
Re: The Cheese Thread 2021
They used to be quite cheap, but the prices have increased considerably in the last 6 months.

Re: The Cheese Thread 2021
I have a similar question to Big Boy, but reversed. Where can I buy expensive cheese for cheap? And I ain't giving it to any dogs. OMG I miss good cheese.

One never knows what one finds lurking in the nether regions of the fridge..
Cheese in Thailand has never been cheap.

Another consequence of Covid. My daughter usually visits twice a year and brings a suitcase full of various cheeses and chocolate. 2020 was a 'no-go' and I'm doubtful that 2021 is going to be much different.

Re: The Cheese Thread
I go to MV, Villa & Makro and look for sale cheese.
Re: The Cheese Thread
HHTel, likewise - my UK goodies will not be replenished this year either.
I've found AP or Nany's still way cheaper than Makro for cheeses. And as for Villa ... ordering it from the moon would probably offer a decent saving! Anyone would think you're buying gold bullion in there.

When was the last time you tried them? In the last couple of months I've found the cheapest stuff on a par with Makro.
