Coronavirus Precautions/News/Updates for Hua Hin/Prachuap
Re: Coronavirus Precautions/News/Updates for Hua Hin
I notice the inter-provincial mini buses are still passing through Hua Hin, and I'm still hearing trains, so I'm guessing inter provincial travel, whilst maybe frowned upon, is still happening.

No wonder the Covid numbers are so low in Thailand - how many people are going to pay up to 6000 Baht just to get tested!!

I believe it's free for Thais. Or so it's been reported multiple times.

I guess these people don't know that, unlike them, the virus does not discriminate by nationality/race/creed/colour.

A question re recent Governor order...
I'm starting to wonder as to whether it might actually be a legal loophole to serve alcohol on the beach?
Eg how can Fire Grill restaurant (Samroiyod) openly say on FB that they can serve alcohol?

I just read this on huahinexpatnews
Members of the Hua Hin Ladies Facebook group had the answer:
“San Paolo and Bangkok Hospital both do it with a quick turnaround time. Bangkok Hospital (6000-8000 baht) had a quicker turnaround time and wasn’t much more expensive than San Paolo when I went in November. Hua Hin Hospital can do it, too, but it was much more difficult to communicate there and the cost wasn’t vastly cheaper there like it usually is.”

Result in 24 - 48 hours
I don't have symptoms I was just curious
Plus I asked about the vaccine and they said they don't know and to ask again in 1 month
Good luck

I don't know this place, but this afternoon I met a friend who had lunch in a restaurant (not in the jungle, in center) and he had beer.thecolonel wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 12:30 pm A question re recent Governor order...

It's free for Thais if they have good reason to believe they may be infected or have symptoms. Otherwise they'll be charged, unless the test is positive.HHTel wrote:I believe it's free for Thais. Or so it's been reported multiple times.

Had a beer? What openly or 'under the table' (coffee cup etc) which I hear is not uncommoneuroptimiste wrote:I don't know this place, but this afternoon I met a friend who had lunch in a restaurant (not in the jungle, in center) and he had beer.thecolonel wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 12:30 pm A question re recent Governor order...

Also, even if your friend was served a beer as normal, then there's a bit of a difference between that and openly advertising on FB that you can serve alcohol.
That's next level! And I'm wondering how they can get away with that?
