So what is going on around here and where does it happen? This section is for discussion on local events, festivals, and holidays as well as activities and things to do.
Hua Hin Municipality is getting ready for the annual Loy Krathong Festival which will be held on Saturday, 31st October in five different locations:
• Hua Don Beach, Khao Takiab (near the ferry pier)
• Queen Sirikit Park, Soi 19
• Nong Kae Community
• Khao Takiab Community
• Khao Tao Reservoir
The 5 locations were designated to avoid overcrowding and traffic congestions. There will also be food stalls and shops in these areas.
Looking at the adverts, Halloween certainly seems to be trumping Loy Krathong at the moment. To me, this is quite surprising given the lack of overseas visitors, and the beauty of Loy Krathong.
You're lucky to have any kind of events to attend, here in Europe absolutely everything has been cancelled since March and already until the end of the year.

I agree, here most things are pretty much as normal, other than wearing face masks - Europe and many other countries by comparison, are virtually the complete opposite, with many areas getting worse before they (hopefully) start to get better.
