Just another criminal, playing the victim card, and the UK rags, along with everyone else, eating up.... :rasta:

Apparently being charged with theft, was quite justified.

Certainly not the actions of someone intent on returning / turning in the phone. UK rags .... well, what can one expect. And a "Go Fund" my criminal activity page..... :banghead:

Probably why his lawyer told him to leave the country ASAP, and simply write the bail off.
“The SIM of the phone we confiscated from the British man had been removed, and the password and language changed,” said Krissana.

All the data had been wiped clean. Police then took him to the Pupingrachaniwet police station to be charged.”

Based on the evidence, police charged him with theft and he was taken to Chiang Mai prison pending trial. He was freed on bail on March 11.

And this from Chang Mai News this week.

Does this look like a casual 'find'. He was caught on CCTV and when caught said that he was going to hand it in to the police!!
His story was accepted and no charges made. He was Chinese which probably explains why he wasn't charged.
