Have a look at the Toyota Yaris Ativ. Has a large boot rather than the standard Yaris hatchback. You can get your golf clubs in the boot no problem. With the standard Yaris Hatchback you need to drop one of the rear seats to get the golf clubs in.

When I was looking at cars my wife pointed out there are toyota dealers everywhere in Thailand. Made me lean towards, and eventually choose, Toyota

Whilst Toyota is probably the number one by volume of dealers, most towns seem to have all of the big four (Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mitsubishi) in close proximity to each other.
