All pets should come from registered breeder, or rescue center. Registered and required to get yearly rabies shot. If miss the yearly shots, owners tracked down and made accountable for. Proof of dogs where abouts or demise. Heavily fined if not satisfactory.

It is sad, but good riddance. If nobody to claim and care for the dogs, then off the streets. Inhumane way to die, I'm sure, as didn't look at link, but my imagination is bad enough. They certainly deserved better.

False alarm !! ! lies.... some people died because have been bitten, so false alarm ???
If all those dogs had been killed before, there would not be rabies.
I can understand the feeling of dog lovers, but what did they say when chickens, ducks and pigs have been killed in farms due to bird flu and this pig disease ?

I would imagine the chickens, ducks and pigs killed in farms would have been killed quickly and humanely. These animals are being left to rot.

Whilst I am a dog lover, I also agree a cull of sorts is required. However, I wouldn't to inflict this level of suffering.

Obviously a F'd up one, to allow so many pets to be discarded and die in such a manner, when there are very simple solutions.

Decades of education and common sense in the USA, has done wonders for the problem, almost non existent of strays and rabies.

Realize it's 3rd world here, and irresponsible parents can't even raise children correctly, so pets have no chance.

Unfortunately, no change down here, PKK municipality. They must have got the memo though, as they all seemed to disappear for the day or so, and I thought, YEA - gone.

But seems they were just in hiding for a day or so, and back to the dog taking for a walk with a big stick......

I love animals. But, the Soi Dog situation is out of control.

They need to catch the males and neuter them. Nature will take its course after that.

the cynic in me thinks that soi dog has misunderstood on purpose so it can use the story to raise funds for soi dog charity.

Every day on facebook, those annoying adverts appear, soi dog asking for money, would be interesting to see a financial breakdown to see how what percentage of money actually gets spent on the dogs after admin fees and staff fat cat salaries are paid for.

Like all things in Thailand , there is a gravy train here and they are cashing in

Agree. And Soi Dog seem to target foreigners for oversea adoptions, at quite a few baht I may add. Damn silly cost.

I'm all for giving strays a home, as our pet was a stray, but 10's of thousands of baht for a (1) soi dog, could be better spent at a local orphanage.
