I was walking past this place 2 days ago, & the building has been totally ripped out!
Further more, inside were 2 mini-diggers with 'hen-pecker' attachments pecking away at anything they felt like decimating..
I really was dumbstruck when there are 4 floors above these diggers, & one/both of them have been pecking away at the main pillars that hold the whole damn place up..
Are they planning to demolish this building (well, what's left of it)..or sink millions back in to make it good again..??

I also was walking this place today afternoon and without being a specialist or not even an architect, I noticed that the bar, reception area will be renewed. The upper floors hotel, will not be destroyed.

Yep, agree with above, past its best. I booked for 2 weeks about 5 years ago and I only stayed one night.
