I have a two month tourist visa that can be extended by a month.
Is there an office in Hua Hin where this can be done ??
If so , where ??
Also my passport is getting pretty full.
No more completely blank pages
What form does the extension take ??
Is it stamped on the existing visa ??
Do i have a problem here ???
What s involved in getting a new British passport in Thailand ??
How long does it take ???
thanks
Dewi

Once you go Asian you will never go Caucasian !!
I don’t know if it’s still the case, but you used to be able to get a passport issued from most British Embassies. I had to renew mine in Jakarta a few years ago and it was ready in five working days. The only problem with it is it doesn’t have the computer readable strip that allows them to be swiped at the airport, so you have to wait for the details to be typed in.

Go to the immigration office at the Police station across from the post office. They are good people and will help you.dewijones wrote:I have a two month tourist visa that can be extended by a month.

I've renewed my passport at the Brit Emb before and it was all painless and quick - took about a week. If I were you, I'd get on to it straight away if you're thinking about staying in Thailand any longer after your extension runs out - you'll have no space left for another tourist visa (they take up a page, don't they?).
Have a look at The Embassy's web site. There might be a form you can download from there. Failing that, call the consular section and get them to mail a form to you - if you've got an address.
Another thing to consider is whether you will have to transfer the original visa and extension to the new passport. If that's necessary, I'm not sure if it can be done in HH. You may have to go to the relevant Thai government office in BKK. (When I did mine, I only had a 30 day entry stamp, so there was no visa to be transferred). Hopefully, the extension of 30 days, in conjunction with the visa that it's being extended from, won't have to transferred. Ask HH imm and double check with the Brit Emb who are well versed in these things as well.
