Computer hardware websites

Post by buksida »

Looking to replace my PC next month, does anyone know of any computer hardware websites with prices in Thailand? Need to compare CPUs, mainboards, graphics cards etc etc.

Have used this one but wouldn't mind looking at a couple more:

Buksida, when I want to find the price of anything like this in Thai Baht, I do a search on the Yahoo Thailand site. Most of the hits will be in Thai which I don't read, but with technical stuff if you put in a model number you can usually work out what it is and get a price.

You can try this site:

http://shopforthai.com/en/

You can select language and currency. I've never bought from them and don't know whether they are competitive, but at least it's another data point.

Thanks for those, that shopforthai site has a lot of hardware, good for comparisons. Prices all in USD though which rings alarm bells however with the thing plummeting like a rock it could work out cheaper!!

buksida,

If you look in the top left-hand corner of the home page, you will see a currency box. If you click on this it gives you a pull-down menu with a choice of numerous currencies, the first of which is Thai Baht.

If you go to the Thai language home page, all the prices are in Thai Baht. My guess is that they actually price in Baht, and apply some sort of conversion factor to give the prices in other currencies. I suspect the default currency on the English language page is US dollars.
