. . . . . . . and the semi final line up will be . . .

South Africa v New Zealand and Ireland v Australia, all other bets are off. :|

Resulting in a victory for New Zealand v Australia in the final.

Fairly predictable I know.
Would have preferred a South Africa V New Zealand final personally, but I'm sure there will be plenty of good rugby in the games left to play.

It'll be a pity to see you leave so early, but needs must..

In all seriousness, I was brought up as a kid in Africa (Zambia/South Africa), so have a great affinity for South African rugby and the Springboks - IF Wales go out, I'll be supporting SA - apologies JG et al, has to be done.

Another big blow for the Paddies - Sexton selected in Joe Schmidt’s team on Friday has beed withdrawn this morning with Ian Madigan taking his place... Things are not looking too well for the boys in green. :(

Moving onto the Aviva Premiership for a mo - an absolute cracking start to the Championship with Worcester and Northampton last night - I won't post details in case there's a re-run in the next couple of days.

Unbelievably both Ford and Gray have been cleared to play on Sunday after successful appeals over their 3 week bans. Great news for the Sweaties!! :thumb:

[EDIT] And in more good news for the Scots, both Pocock and Folau have been ruled out ..

Gutted..... absolutely gutted!!

No.1 Can't complain about the result, but I firmly believe Wales were very hard done by over the first two penalties (cheers Mr Barnes.. again).... and 6 bl**dy points!! Were Beelzibub and his Eunuchs that jealous - could they, could they...?? :D

That said, congrats to SA, on a deserved win. :thumb:

Wales gave away far too many silly penalties in kickable positions - we were duly punished, 3 pts at a time!!

Both sides showed superb defense - some bone crunching tackles and bodies put on the line consistently.....

I for one am extremely proud of the entire Welsh team (players, coaches, back-staff et al) for all the effort they have put in - the whole of Wales can hold our heads high.

A very, very big hand..

Now....... Just for a giggle - Allez Les Bleus!!

Well, the Vin Guzzlers certainly aren't laughing now!

I thought Wales were on a suicide mission in the first 20 minutes (and I'm sorry pharvey, but you can't blame Barnes for that!), and it turned out that those first 12 points, all unnecessary gifts to SA, lost them the match. I really thought they'd done enough to win it, but South Africa did to Wales what Wales did to England a couple of weeks ago.

I really enjoyed the game, and I particularly enjoyed watching Biggar, who played a big part in getting Wales this far. His preparation for a kick is like the storm before the calm...

What can you say(nice) about New Zealand? They're no smarter than anyone else or any other team, just better trained and more motivated it appears. I guess that happens when Rugby is the National Sport and kids are in the system from Primary School onwards. I couldn't help but be in awe at that display against France, as should everyone IMO. I don't think anyone will beat them unless they collapse mentally, and they have too many players retiring from International after this and simply won't let that happen. Pete
