Hua Hin Restaurant News

Post by dalmatiandave »

Saw the proprietor of the Whippet yesterday, he was packed and ready to move to a new location next to the Terminal on Soi 88. Didnt therefore get my breakfast. He was awaiting a man to attend with deposit for his Soi 80 location.

Just heard from Usual Suspect....the silly bugger has fallen off his bike ( again) and bust his collarbone. He asked me to pass on that Kim's Kitchen will be closed only for the next month or so as the staff have had to go to issan to plant rice etc
Enjoying 'Retirement'....So many jobs to do, I don't know how I ever had time to work!

My friend was advised he would be open for breakfast today but apparently didn't happen.

Come up Soi 88 passed Family Mart, you will see Terminal off to the left. In front of the Terminal you will see Radar 88 (bar) amongst the shop houses, there is a laundry/restaurant a couple of shophouses further on. If you turn immediately left there it will bring you to the Terminal. The Whippet is the last shop house on the right just to the right of the Terminal swimming pool.

Does anyone know what's happening with Smor spa? Went to the restaurant the other day and it's gone... looks like the hotel is getting gutted too. Renovation or demolition?

Sam is now located as Zafran Indian Restaurant.. Located opposite the Hagi Japanese Restaurant on the road leading down to the Tourist Police. Still doing monthly buffets.

My son was disappointed at the Market Village food hall today. It looks as though the Kebab place has finished.

Spotted 2 things while out last night:

1. Something (not sure if restaurant or bar) has opened up on the old La Rumba site.

2. The new food court between 88 and 94 was partially open as I drove past last night. It seemed to be a mix of food outlets with a couple of market stalls thrown in.

The old La Rumba is now Castaway Restaurant.
