Re: Long weekend gridlock traffic in Hua Hin
Attempted to go shopping in Market Village yesterday, afternoon, chockers, ended up driving out
Re: FYI Gridlock Traffic Right Now
So, BB, if you'd been driving your own car you would have let the stupid gits force their way in? But no problem with someone else's car?Big Boy wrote:... Fortunately, I wasn't driving my own car, so knocking wing mirrors soon put them back in their place - they wouldn't want to damage daddy's car with their stupid manoeuvre, would they? The stupid gits were mounting pavements, then trying to force me out of the way.

Traffic northbound out of Hua Hin seemed quite heavy this afternoon. Hopefully things will be quieter tomorrow pm.
Re: Long weekend gridlock traffic in Hua Hin
If driving my car, the mirrors would have been too high - it would have resulted in damage to both cars. Would I have let it happen? I really don't know - the alternative would have been to pull into oncoming traffic, where the fault would have been entirely mine, so probably, unless I could have avoided it safely.
A knock on the other guy's mirror was the safest option.

OK. So with your car it would have been car on car rather than mirror to mirror, hence the "fortunately". Sorry,I misunderstood.

Well, it's swings and roundabouts I guess.
After last weekend being the busiest I can remember, this weekend is the quietest Saturday I can remember. Most Saturday evenings it can take me 20 to 30 minutes to drive from the Petchkasem end of Soi 94 to the Petchkasem end of Soi 75 (yes, to basically cross the road). This evening it took me about 3 minutes. I know which I prefer.
