Directions to driving license building in Pranburi --- drive into Pranburi, roadworks are in progress.
Look for the Honda (car) garage sign and take U turn adjacent to it. Drive for about a mile in the direction of HuaHin , on your left you will see a police building. ( there is also a small sign for Makro) take the left turn immediately after the entrance to the Police and after approximately 300 yards turn left and your there.
As a UK driving license holder I did not have to take the written test just colour blindness, reaction time and spatial awareness tests.
Although the procedure attracts some ridicule at least they are making an attempt to assess the drivers fitness. After the two recent tragedies in Scotland where 8 people were killed and many more were injured perhaps the UK has something to learn, after all if a three old car requires an annual MOT shouldn't there be a MOT for the drivers?

When I did my bike licence around 6 months ago it was a slightly different system.Roel wrote:Actually you need 45 correct out of 50. If you do not pass you can re-try there and then one more time. Fail twice and you have to come back another day.
You get one attempt on the first day. Fail that and you need to come back the next day where you can have up to two goes. Fail them both and you have to come back after 30 days and (I think...?) go through the training again.
It's not much of a hardship to have to come back the second day, as you have to go back for your practical test anyway.
