If you have problems getting to Fort Thanarat, the club usually run a free bus from and to Hua Hin Temple. If you go back a couple of pages, you will see that I have posted flyers quoting the phone numbers you need to ring to secure a seat.

Dundrillin, if you watch some of the video footage of the games on this forum you can get an idea of the strip colours and also the standard of football. It is basically sky blue for the home kit and black for the away kit. There are numerous local sponsors advertising on them but they are good value for money. They can be bought at the ground with other merchandise for 550 baht up to a size XXL. There are a couple of shops it Hua Hin that also supply them. If like me - and Big Boy - you need a size bigger than that there are people that can enlarge them for an additional fee. Hua Hin City FC also have a Facebook page so check that out aswell. It is in Thai but I am sure you will be able to find someone to translate it for you!! The last home game in this "Champions League" is on Sunday the 14th of December and it is against Prachuab FC who are our friends and neighbours. They gave us a bit of a drubbing (5-1) so we will be after revenge, so we will have to see how "friendly" we are if we still have a chance of promotion. It is maybe like a scaled down version or Aberdeen v Dundee United crowd wise but a bit noisier!!!

Udon Thani 1 - 1 Vana Nava Hua Hin City

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Udon Thani are by far the best team in this group. Today, the best almost lost, but managed to salvage a point due to a Lampty own goal. Udon Thani are excellent value for money. Additionally, they are the first team I've seen at this level with support that deserves to go forward. A very full stadium today.

What a nice bunch of supporters also. They bought all of the travelling supporters (except me) a slap up lunch. I had already arranged to meet an old friend from the UK, and had to decline.

Hua Hin have repaired their leaky defence at last. We now have Owusu playing directly in front of the back 4, and it did make our defence solid, in the face of a constant onslaught. I would guess Udon had 80% of the play.

Hua Hin were unlucky not to take the lead in the first minute, but took the advantage after about 20 minutes with a pin pointed cross from Theerawat, brilliantly converted by Sutin.

A constant theme for most of the game though was the new skinhead Shoto regularly saving Hua Hin's hide with some fantastic action between the sticks. Not least his fine penalty save.

This was almost an opposite performance to the Phichit performance, with Udon unable to score. They were grateful to Lampty diverting a shot that was was going well wide, past Shota.

I was so grateful to hear the final whistle, and know that we were still in the competition.

Phichit FC - Prachinburi United 3-0

Udon Thani FC - Hua Hin City 1-1

BCC-Tero FC - Prachuap FC 1-1

Now that we've broken our away match duck in this league, we need a good win at bottom of the league Prachinburi next week.

It is all getting a bit exciting now isn`t it!! 2 games to go with an away game at Prachinburi and then the home game against Prachuab FC. It is in our hands again just like the League campaign and we have a really good chance of finishing in the top 2. Personally, I prefer having our destiny in our own hands!! Can anyone tell me what happens after the Group matches are completed? There will still be 4 teams still in the mix but how many promotion places are there?

TIT - I think I've got to the bottom of being sent off for a second yellow card offence. You simply miss the rest of that game, and it counts as 2 yellow cards against your name. There is no resultant suspension until you acrue enough yellows.

Simple, the top 2 from Group A and the top 2 from Group B are promoted. If Prachuab succeed, and we fail, being the most Southerly team, we're almost certainly condemned to the Southern section.

How bizarre!! Four teams promoted!! This of course means that four teams are relegated from Division 1 every year!! So how do they determine which League within Division 2 the relegated teams would be placed in? I don`t think I want to know any more of these crazy rules and regulations. I know This Is Thailand but this system is totally insane. The thought of the supporters spending 3 days getting to and from an away game to have another 3 day trip the following weekend is complete nonsense!!

This is no different to the old Div 3 North/South or the leagues immediately below the conference in the UK. You fit where you fit.

It is why I've been telling you that if Prachuab get promoted, and we don't, we'll probably be condemned to the Southern sectio. - that could still mean 16 hour round trips to away matches.

Even worse, they are also considering consolidation of the existing 6 regional leagues into 4 next season. That would also put us in the Southern section.

This weekend will see our 3rd consecutive mamouth away trip.

Those were the days my friend. Sadly the days of Division3 North are long gone and things - apart from it appears Thailand and a few other countries- have moved into the 21st Century. I am presuming the 4 group system would mean the winners will automatically be promoted therefore doing away with this champions league, that is unless they can find another way of ballsing it up. It is a nonsense!! It is fair enough to expect teams and supporters to endure the travelling for Cup games but not for a Wednesday afternoon or a Sunday night game. Then on top of this we have heard of change of venue and kick off times at the last minute just to frustrate us even more. Having just looked at the Group table, it is still up for grabs although Phichit are favourites - remember they are the team that had a man sent off against us and the guy didn`t leave the field of play - with 4 others in with a shout for the second place. We need to bring our A game to Prachinburi on Sunday and win at all costs leaving us with the nightmare scenario of having to beat Prachuab to get promoted or face an uncertain future in the bowels of Division 2!!

Unfortunately, the largest size you will get is XXL - about 44" chest. If still interested, I can let you know where to get one.
