To provide some clarification of the sponsorship situation:

The Evason has decided that it cannot sponsor the Good Ship Crazy Farang beyond shirts for the team.
I have received the shirts and thanked the Evason accordingly.

Watch this space today, though, because there is more news to come about sponsors

Happy to say that there's been an offer by a new sponsor. :D

At very short notice, Ian and Kaek of King Kebab have had T-shirts specially printed for the entire crew of Good Ship Crazy Farang.

Ian and Kaek have been living in HH for 11 months and decided to open a Kebab place in Soi Bintabath next door to 7 Eleven.
The restaurant will sit 16 and also offer a carry out service. The menu will include various types of kebab, steaks, chicken, fish as well as many well-know Thai dishes.
They hope to open on November 9

BTW, there are just 8 seats left on the Peacock operated by Mermaid Cruises' for watching the Pak Nam Pran Long Boat Races tomorrow, starting at 9 a.m.

If this continues, the team will be on more sponsorship than Beckham. I just hope your performance is better than his this season.

Hi Big Boy - couldn't really do any worse, could we?
Mind you, the local teams have been racing up and down past Mermaid Cruises Pier non-stop for the last 2 days

Think we might have a small problem reaching the final :P

And the list of sponsors continues: :D

Milford Paradise and Hua Hin Laguna (Soi 102) have very generously told us that they will supply another set of shirts for the crew (it's starting to resemble a fashion show),

as well as contribute catering for Race Day, plus water and soft drinks and - what we've all been waiting for  -

a barrel of draught Chang for the crew of the Good Ship Crazy Farang

Now that's what I call a sponsor :thumb: :thumb:

Mermaid Cruises will be sending 2 vehicles (max. 15 people) to HH tomorrow to pick up those coming to the Long Boat Races.

We will pick up from outside George's Bar (Petkhasem Rd. just past the Ayudhaya Bank on the opposite side of the road heading south) at 7 a.m. sharp. Please contact us beforehand if you want a lift!

Many thanks also go to one of our crew members, Terry of Hua Hin Property, for his great help in attracting the last 2 sponsors mentioned.

So see you all bright and early at Mermaid Cruises Pier in the morning: tea and coffee (with a shot if absolutely needed) will be waiting.

Good luck to all in the race tomorrow, sorry I can't be there, work calls I'm afraid.

Someone get some photos so we can post them here.

These shirts, they're not all XXL are they? :|

I'd just like to say a pre race thank you to Terry & Barry for all their hard work, to Barry & his wife & staff for the food & hospitality every practice day, to the sponsors, & to the rest of the team for being such fun. It's been great. And I really hope we don't let you all down by winning anything!!

Also, thanks for the good wishes posted here in the last few days - I hadn't realised our trials & tribulations had attracted such a following! :thumb:

Here's to a great, memorable, fun, kick-ass day tomorrow!

Once again, GOOD LUCK! Wish I was there for this. However, I have just returned from the beach at dawn after lighting several dozen incense sticks on the Pattaya shoreline, pointed in the direction of HH. May the gods be with you! Pete

All right lads and ladies. I hope that you were all not out on the lash last night, and suffering today.
Good luck with the race, and whatever happens, it sounds as though the whole thing has been a great crack.
Good luck, and hope you bring home some trophies
